ALFEAH

“I am honored to receive the GW Women’s Hospital Board Scholarship. I am a VBSN student in my second semester. I was born and raised in Uganda. My greatest aspiration is to be a Certified Nurse Midwife. My long term goal is to open my own birthing center where I can provide safer spaces for birthing mums regardless of gender, race, or color”.

SABRINA

“I’m very passionate about helping others with their personal training and nutrition goals. Building on that, as a nurse, I plan to work directly with patients in the ER, while also educating the community on preventative and primary care topics around obesity.”

CATHERINE

“To me, being a nurse means being able to help underserved communities. I am bilingual (English/Spanish), and I want to work with the many patients that face a language barrier, providing them with opportunities to get good healthcare. I served my country in the Army for over 20 years–now I want to serve my local community.”

TORI

"It is an honor to be a recipient of this scholarship. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to take a step back from work in order to focus on my studies as a student in the accelerated Nursing Program. My long-term goal is to become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. After many years of navigating my own hormone and health journey, I have a burning passion for helping other women on their journey to holistic health.”
